IOKA HOTEL REVIEW

Updated: May 1, 2023

When you travel to the beautiful city of Lomé, there is only one place to stay. Five-star luxury at every turn, Ioka Hotel is everything you could want in a space to call your home away from home. There are so many reasons why I will be heading back to Ioka next time I visit Togo, but here are 7 of the best:

They got their relaxation vibes on point. Make your way to the rooftop pool, and you will not be disappointed! Private cabanas and a panoramic view make this my favorite place to relax and unwind which is everything this girl could want on a Togo vacation.

About that rooftop. While the days can be spent lazing about the pool when the sun goes down, you best believe the party turns all the way up! The SkyBar has incredible nighttime views of Lomé, and when the music gets started, it’s time to move that body like you own the place.

It’s not just the view that takes your breath away. The well-appointed gym space offers a 360-degree view of the city - so beautiful you almost forget you’re working out! Fully equipped with everything you need, even the gym-shy will want to get their sweat on while they watch the city work its magic.

Tastes like home. The breakfast buffet is allllll Togolese deliciousness, but it reminded me so much of Jamaican breakfast that I could just close my eyes and believe I was home. A perfect way to start a day that will just keep getting better.

The service is amazing. The highest quality of people, cocktails, food, and facilities - everything from a spa to a coworking space and a high-end shopping mall! The staff at Ioka are friendly and always happy to help, and the entire experience is top-notch in every way.

The decor is perfection. The rooms are spacious, clean, and with a modern design that makes you feel right at home. The contemporary vibe makes the space so comfortable you almost won’t want to leave… but that rooftop pool though…!!

Ioka celebrates the Motherland with vibrant color. Throughout the hotel, bright, colorful, and straight-up dope artworks remind you that the Togolese are super proud of their African roots. There’s even an Art Gallery on site, so if you’re looking to soak in a little culture or need a quiet moment, just open your eyes and let the vibrant artwork speak to you!

I love visiting Togo, and whenever I’m in the capital, there is only one place I want to be. The Ioka Hotel in Lomé is one of my favorite locations to stay, anywhere in the world, so you can be sure I will be back as soon as I can make it happen! Maybe I’ll see you there?
