This waterfront resort offers luxury and style at an affordable price and, with over 750 rooms, is the perfect place to spend a few days or make yourself at home for a longer stay. The harbor view rooms are especially breathtaking, with light, bright, modern interiors and ceiling-to-floor views to die for. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt luxurious. I could have happily stayed staring at the gulf view all day, but you know your girl had to check out the restaurants!
Charlotte Harbor Sunseeker Resort is not just home to comfortable rooms and gorgeous views. With 20 different food and drink options on-site, all world-class and offering delicious menus for every palate, this resort is a destination all of its own. From the rooftop poolside Level Blue and its delectable cocktails to the Waterside Table restaurant and bar, these eateries are truly experiences all of their own. Go Italian, sports bar, or steakhouse, or try my personal favorite, the Mexican menu at Blue Lime, where guacamole, steak, and cocktails will sweep you off your feet and right into the heart of Mexico. Live music is also a feature across the eateries here, and after a few drinks at a bar like Half Cracked, the dance floor awaits!
In true resort style, Sunseeker Charlotte Harbor has everything you could need at your doorstep. A world-class golf course, a fitness center with regular classes, a full-service spa and salon, and a rooftop infinity pool that I can personally recommend, you barely need to venture beyond the resort. If you decide to go a little further, however, the harbor and infamous Gulf coast offer activities galore; for the thrill-seeking adventurers, the family travelers, and the culture seekers, there is something for everyone within a short distance of the resort.
Once the resort has you feeling all kinds of glam, head out to the Ca’ d’Zan, an opulent and incredible piece of Sarasota history. Part of the Ringling Museum that celebrates John and Mable Ringling’s contribution to the area, walking into this exquisite mansion is like taking a step back in time to the Roaring Twenties era. Known as a social hub in Sarasota in the 1920s, Ca’ d’Zan is now a museum showpiece featuring incredible Venetian Gothic architecture, lavish interiors, and picturesque views of Sarasota Bay. Plan to spend at least a few hours discovering the mansion as well as the neighboring Museum of Art, Circus Museum, and the Bayfront Gardens.
To cap off your Florida getaway in true style, you can’t go past a sunset cruise. Departing from Fishermen’s Village, this cruise is a magical 90 minutes on Charlotte Harbor, where you can capture the captivating sunset and possibly even see a dolphin or two! With a comfortable ride, gorgeous Florida weather, and sunsets to die for, there is no better way to commemorate your time in Charlotte Harbor than aboard a King Fisher Fleet cruise boat.
